1. How many household pets are allowed in a Residential Zoned area?

3 dogs, 3 cats.   Litters, NOT raised as a business, can remain until 1  year of age.   Breeding not permitted 

2. Are chickens/bees/domestic livestock allowed in the village on residential-zoned properties?

Yes, bees, a variety of domestic fowl (Roosters Excluded), and hobby livestock are allowed to be kept in residential zoned areas of the Village.  Please visit the "Build-Zone-Register" tab for more details.

3. Is open burning allowed in the Village?

Yes, but with limitations; NO REFUSE, NO GRASS CLIPPINGS, NO BUILDING MATERIALS/FURNITURE.  Please visit the Ordinance Tab for more details

4. How do I lodge a complaint within the Village of Lily Lake?

All Emergencies:      Dial 9-1-1  (this includes animal attacks)

Noise:                     Call Kane County Non-Emergency line at 630.232.8400.  Refer to Village Ordinance 2024-07

Animal:                   Call Kane County Animal Control 630.232.3555.   Only corralled dogs may be picked up with Village approval;

                              KCAC is directed to contact a Village representative (at all hours) for authorization.  Wildlife pick-up is a private issue. 

                              Suburban Wildlife Control, Inc. is one local agency available to assist with wildlife challenges.  Call them at 630.443.4500
